Deanna is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical
Psychotherapist. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from
Pittsburg State University and her Master's Degree in Social Work from the
University of Kansas. Prior to joining Responsive Centers in January 2004, she
worked for 9 years in an area Community Mental Health Center - 6 of them as the
Director of Children and Family Services.
Deanna enjoys working with people of all ages, and has significant
experience with children, adolescents and families. She is trained in the
areas of attachment, behavior disorders, mood disorders, childhood onset
bipolar disorder, family issues (divorce, parenting, and discipline),
abuse/trauma, anxiety, ADHD and pervasive developmental disorders. She has
created and facilitated an educational program about parenting during and
after divorce entitled PROUD (Parent Responsibilities of Understanding Divorce)
and is certified in Brain Gym and Wraparound facilitation. Her practice
includes individual and family therapy, and groups for children and adolescents.
