Dr. Eyman has been licensed to practice psychology in Kansas for over twenty years.
With psychotherapy, psychological assessment, sex therapy, parenting education, and
consultations with other professionals, she helps families, couples, and individuals
of all ages make significant changes in their lives. She has worked in the areas of
depression, anxiety, sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress disorders, Asperger's,
and personality disorders, as well as the many issues related to life stages, such
as school and behavior difficulties, eating and identity disorders in adolescence,
adjustment to college and work life, and marriage, divorce, adoption, parenting,
and retirement.
Dr. Eyman was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Las Vegas. She received her B.A.
at the University of Southern California and Ph.D. at the University of Nevada at
Reno, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in adult and child psychology at the
Menninger Foundation. She has published in the areas of suicide, psychological
assessment, sexual dysfunction, and intimate relationships. In addition to private
practice, she has taught psychology at Washburn University in Topeka and worked with
patients at the Menninger Clinic and Topeka State Hospital. She has consulted and
lectured in schools and colleges, and has been a board member and president of
non-profit agencies.
Dr. Eyman is the proud mother of two and the proud stepmother of five. She is a
firm believer in the benefits of both a healthy lifestyle and a sense of humor.
